Datarails Customer Review:

“This software was very easy to implement as we transitioned from a different software. What sold us on Datarails was the ability to continue to use our current reports. Dashboard views are also great, it gave us the ability to report on operations metrics, versus some software's that only focus on financial reporting.”

Features and Functionality

Both solutions have great features and functions, and some of the best and most personalized customer support on the market to back it up. Datarails and Jedox both have a host of features that allow finance experts to drill down and crunch the data from all the company’s departments. Finance, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and HR all combine into one source of truth allowing the finance team to make quicker and more accurate decisions.

In addition to the basic budgeting and reporting that every FP&A tool has, Jedox offers above average Ad hoc and predictive analytics along with KPI-based reporting and budgeting. To top it all off, the company has a useful E-learning platform that makes it easy to learn and master all that the solution has to offer. But despite Jedox’s above average functions, Datarails provides a slightly easier to use and familiar interface with a short implementation time that is able to provide companies a better ROI on all things FP&A.

Winner: Datarails

Integrations

Datarails and Jedox both have excellent integrations- both in terms of system integrations and third party integrations. For system integrations, they both integrate with CRM, ERP, HRIS, or just about any other system out there. In regards to third party integrations, both companies provide plenty of great options as well. Datarails imports data integrations from important platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Hubspot, Oracle, and over 30 others. Whether it be data from Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, or scenario planning for any possibility, Datarails will integrate with it all. However, Jedox slightly beats them out due to one reason: pre-built JDBC. If the data base of any integration is enlisted, then it is possible to bring any kind of data into the system.

Winner: Jedox

Built-In Solutions

This is another category which both companies thrive in. With short implementation times and easy to use dashboards and reports, some of the greatest feedback that customers give about both tools are the built in solutions. However there are slight differences here as well. Jedox Canvas is a responsive, free-scrolling, interactive pinboard, with a great P&L, sales, and HR dashboard, while Datarails has an easy-to-use dashboard with live charts and real-time visualization. Although both have above average built in dashboards and solutions, the fact that Datarails has built-in Excel means that the familiarity and ease of use allows more people to benefit from the data and learn the platform quicker.

Winner: Datarails

Datarails

Datarails is the perfect solution for small and medium sized companies. The native Excel functionality means that no matter how small or large the FP&A team is, the time it takes to learn and start benefiting from the system is extremely minimal. In addition, the large number of software integrations allows users to produce in-depth forecasting results and scenario planning by connecting data from all departments- something that every company is looking for during yet another market and supply chain shakeup.
